The first time I saw this listed, I thought Offenbach . . . but, boy, was *E*Y*E* surprised! What a lovely, quirky, droll little work this is! Matthew Bourne is a genius; his spark of imagination is so large and all-encompassing that he must have been touched by the entire flock of Muses AND by Apollo himself! The music is perfect and so are the dancers, especially the principals! Bravo! Bravissimo!

The second part struck me as quite erotic, even homoerotic, which seemed odd - just odd, not offensive, and perhaps not even unusual, but I've never seen the complete ballet and I'm not familiar with the plot - apart from knowing that the ending isn't a happy one. After watching this clip, I think I'll have to find the full version.
